Dusk and moonrise coincide in this 2012 image from Breiðamerkursandur, near Jökulsárlón, Iceland. A nearby glacier drops ice into the famous lagoon, and where the lagoon exits to the sea, iceberg strandings on the black sand beach are common, it is an iconic place for photographers. Yet here, I went for details, and a hint of context, the shape of the ice echoing the turbulent sea behind, ice capturing a moment of water much as the camera captures a moment of time.
