Chains of bubbles form improbable glyphs in the water and along the shore of this out-of-the-way corner of Mono Lake. Metaphoric writing in nature has long been a theme in my photography from my early Signatures of the Sun series, which I find interesting, not only because of the clichéd observation that photography means "writing with light" but because I often find it without having gone looking for it.
There are a variety of smaller mysteries within the image as well, I look forward to creating a beautiful large print—I'm pretty much in love with this particular image.
